Belize has been on the international news a lot in the past couple of weeks. U.S. News and World Report ran a piece on Belize being an ideal retirement destination which got a lot of press - even Yahoo Finance picked it up. While it was good publicity, the article by Kathleen Peddicord had some serious deficiencies that many comments pointed out. For e.g. the budget featured a monthly food bill that was frankly anorexic to put it kindly.
